Word of the day
bravura - n - 1. a display of boldness or daring. 2. a piece of music requiring great skill by the performer.
Example - My learned friend has shown great bravura in attempting to raise the defence of insanity in this case.
Bad Example - He's a WWII veteran don't yer know, with a medal for bravura, yer can't send 'im down.

ANOTHER good word of the day ( as taken from the Oxford Dictionary of Law - not a heavyweight, I admit, when copared to Osborne's Legal Dictionary, but still noted for some gravitas):
Bullock (Order): A form of order for the payment of costs in civil cases sometimes made when the claimant has, in the court's opinion reasonably sued two defendants but has been successful aganst only one of them. The order requires the claimant to pay the costs of the successful defendant but allows him to include these costs in those payable to him by the unsuccessful defendant.
Good Example: My Lord, The Claimant will apply for a Bullock order.
BAD Example ( by wretched counsel for unsuccessful defendant) : One suspects that this is all going to to a complete load of UTTER Bullocks, my Lord.....
